TV Announced for k-State game....
And the annoucement is that we will wait to have another announcement. That's right...the dreaded six day window has been chosen by the networks. And they left the release today about as clear as mud
November 8 Television Selections
The Big 12’s television partners will utilize a six-day selection process for games of Nov. 8, 2008. Following is a ready list.
FSN - Oklahoma State at Texas Tech or Oklahoma at Texas A&M or Baylor at Texas or Kansas State at Missouri, 11 a.m., CT
VERSUS - Kansas State at Missouri, 11:30 a.m., CT/MT or Iowa State at Colorado (if selected, game at Colorado will be at 11:30 a.m., MT/12:30 p.m., CT)
*ABC - Oklahoma at Texas A&M or Oklahoma State at Texas Tech, 2:30 p.m., CT
FSN - Baylor at Texas or Kansas State at Missouri or Kansas at Nebraska, 6 p.m., CT
*ABC - Oklahoma at Texas A&M or Oklahoma State at Texas Tech, 7 p.m., CT
*Pending the outcome of games on November 1, ABC could go without a Big 12 game at 2:30 p.m. CT or could go without a Big 12 game at 7 p.m. CT but will not go without a Big 12 game in both windows. ABC could televise a Big 12 game at both 2:30 p.m., and 7 p.m., CT. The VERSUS telecast will be at either 11:30 a.m., CT (Kansas State at Missouri) or at 11:30 a.m. MT (Iowa State at Colorado).
So what does it all mean? Means it the Big XII could have as many as five games, or as few as four games. I am SHOCKED to see Mizzou/kSU being considered for 6:00 p.m.
If I was a betting man, this would be my TV line-up:
- OU/aTm @ 11:00 a.m. on FSN since those two teams need to be on TV....they do draw.
- k-State/Mizzou @ 11:30 a.m. on Versus since it will be better than CU/ISU (since ISU will lose this weekend to Okie State and CU might lose at aTm)
- Okie State/TTech @ 2:30 p.m. on ABC since I think while Okie State beats ISU, TTech will fall to UT, leaving them both with 1-loss and not a matchup ABC will want in the evening
- Baylor/UT @ 6:00 p.m. on FSN...since I think UT will still be unbeaten
- no late game on ABC and no TV for ISU/CU or kU/NU

I'd much rather see us playing at 11:30 than 6PM
since it’ll be a cool night vs a warmer day (God please don’t let it rain). I also like tailgating for earlier games as you can usually get more folks to hang around after a game that ends at 3 than you can a game that ends at 10 or 11. Especially when most of you have to drive for an hour or more to get home.
But, aside from the OSU/TT game, there isn’t an attractive game that weekend. OU will plow aTm. Texas vs Baylor? Damn I hope no Bears are killed as this will be a massacre. This will not be a good Big XII TV weekend and no real logic can be applied to figure out which beat down FSN will want to show.

Not taking the attractiveness of the matchups into account
there is a 72% chance MU – K-State will be aired. When you figure that the alternative is showing ISU-CU, that percentage chance goes way up.
I juggle one handed, do some magic tricks and do the best imitation of myself.

Post-Saturday best guesses?
FSN – Kansas at Nebraska (11 p.m.)
Versus – Kansas State at Missouri (11:30 p.m.)
ABC – Oklahoma at Texas A&M (2:30 p.m., but I’m wavering about this one)
FSN – Baylor at Texas (6 p.m.)
ABC – OSU at Tech (7 p.m.)
