I still don’t know if Patton will be drafted, but it will be quite the interesting thing to follow.

He'll have every chance to impress

I imagine our pro-day will be about three times the circus it was for Justin Smith (which I got to witness in person, pretty cool if I do say so). With everyone showing up to see Coffman, Moore and potentially Maclin (certainly others, but those three are likely to go the highest in April), he will have every chance to show he deserves a personal work-out, and then perhaps a later-round flier.

i have always thought

that patton would have a better chance in the pros. NFL GM’s and coaches are a fikel bunch…I mean, most teams still have FB’s. Patton fits the role of the “pro-set” QB…he’s tall, can throw deep, and hand off. Though Daniel’s talent and football smarts are off the charts, his height and him being a “system” QB is going to hold him back. Granted, I think Daniel will be drafted higher, but I also think Patton goes to dental school. Yes, he could have a chance in the NFL, but sometimes it’s better to take four good years, a wife, and head on to the next step.
