NCAA 1st Round Update - Mizzou vs. Evansville
Alright...just a real quick update and thread in case anyone is out there. In the 1st game of the night, Illinois took down Memphis 1-0, but in 2OT in what had to be ugly weather. So far, Mizzou is up 2-0 on Evansville, outshooting the Aces 15-1 in the 1st half. Michelle Collins scored early for the Tigers (3rd minute), while freshman Candace Ruff added the 2nd goal in the 33rd minute. It appears Kristen Andrighetto is back and healthy with 4 shots, and it will simply be important for the Tigers to play an easy and healthy 2nd half and move on to Sunday afternoon. Will leave this open for the 2nd half, and I will try to update at some point

Nice to see the ladies get off to a nice start...
And to see the Illini have to work to get through. I smell a sweet 16 …
Certainly shaping up well right now
but oy….the potential Sweet 16 matchup against UNC….what a….well….opportunity? :-)

Mizzou doesn't want anything to do with North Carolina
I watched the ACC Championship game last night on FSC, and UNC is just scary good.
Still 2-0 with about 18 minutes to go
Mizzou with 8 more shots to 2 for Evansville…a dominating performance right now in pretty terrible weather.
