I just have to worry about the plight of students these days
Want to make an annoucement? Fine. Sit there in either a jacket and tie or your jersey with your coach, parents/whatever and maybe the prinicipal and make your decision. I dont even like setting the hats out in front of you to choose…I would prefer you just put the hat on after you make the annoucement. The entire song and dance (to me) belies a much bigger problem of ego and attention-whoring I just do not like at all.

Heh, and haven't these kids heard of "karma"?
One of the most controversial “productions” ever was Antonio Logan-El’s…where, he (I believe) put on Maryland’s hat (while wearing a red tie), then took it off and announced for Penn State…in front of Ralph Friedgen’s wife, no less. What happened to him? His work ethic was poor and he ended up transferring to Towson a year later…and he’s no longer on the roster there either…

Evidently not on some websites anymore....
Judging by the reactions of some…we are pretty much sunk as a program and unable to recruit effectivly.

…watching people for weeks say “I don’t think we’re going to get him,” then immediately go into “THIS SUCKS WE NEVER LAND ANYBODY GOOD I CAN’T BELIEVE HE DIDN’T COME HERE!!!!!!!!” mode as soon as it’s confirmed that we didn’t get him…
