Via Deadspin, now ex-backup center for the Texas Longhorns Buck Burnette has been kicked off the team. Not to editorialize, but he wrote a pretty ignorant thing by almost everyone's standards on his Facebook status about our new President-elect, and Mack Brown booted him off the team.
Kind of sad, because as almost anyone who's been there will tell you, Austin is one of the most tolerant cities in America, and I know for a fact that the over-over-over-overwhelming majority of the UT faithful don't subscribe to that line of thinking.

Do you agree that kicking him off the team was appropriate?

I'll stay out of that side of the argument...

But I do know that it’s not like Texas is hurting for talent on the line. Mack will have to settle for inserting another one of his 127 5-star OL recruits…

Again, not to editorialize or turn this into a political debate...

…but I think that Mack Brown’s stand against this type of outwardly racist sentiment is honorable. And not just because he has a lot of black players.

Also, I like how I said “not to editorialize”, then said something strictly editorial.
