kSU names new head coach...or not (edit)
Being reported all over the interwebs that Gary Patterson will leave TCU and head (home I guess) to the Little Apple to take over the program. Guess I find it interesting this was worked out while there were still games to be played on the season, but hey...power to the Cats for acting quickly and getting the one man (in my opinion) who made the most sense for this position and task.
{edit - um...yeah...see the comments}

Don't know how much he'll succeed there...
…you never know for sure how the mid-major to major conference transition will work (and you never know how well he’ll be able to recruit Texas now—how much of it was him, and how much of it was Texas kids wanting to stay in Texas?), but he’s got purple blood and a good record, and that’s a good hire. Whereas I was 95% sure the Ron Prince experiment was going to fail when the hire was made, I’m not nearly as confident this time around…

False
This is a false report by the KSU site at Rivals.com. The Kansas City Star has an update that say’s the AD printed a copy of the story off and said something to the effect of, “This is false. We haven’t scheduled an interview with any candidates yet, much less made an offer.”
Of course, this likely what will happen, but as of right now Patterson is still the TCU coach.
yeah...um...he does not seem to be pretty happy at all

Somehow this last part caught me off-guard. That’s really taking it to a new level.
