Gary Pinkel takes a knee even when playing XBOX. Ron Prince probably dunks on his 10 year old son playing HORSE in the back yard.

Even if he's not playing for his current job...
He’s certainly playing for the next one. Which begs the question: what’s the best case scenario for Prince’s next job?

I hear Manhattan (KS) needs a new Pop Warner Commissioner

I think they have mercy rules in Pop Warner
How are teams going to learn clock management if they’re never down 30 points late in a game?

Beef, bringing the rage.
Turned into Homer for a second.

Can’t say I disagree at all, though. Except, you know, I was warm and toasty in 65-degree Dallas, TX.

By the way...
A final note on the garbage time touchdowns:
With a 26-point line, Ron Prince just made some serious enemies or some extremely grateful friends in the “degenerate gambler” demographic.

Ron Prince
Is classless trash.
I still was pretty hot from when they came to the Zou a couple years ago on homecoming during the pouring rain and he was calling timeouts in the final seconds of a blow out. Tonight he became my second least-favorite coach in all of sports (Behind the fat man, of course. How can you respect someone who coaches there?)

Yeah...
…there was really no topping what he did two years ago, but this was as close as you can get. I did LOVE Pinkel having Patton throw deep on the second-to-last play. Of course, I’d have also called timeout with 0:04 left, but that’s just me… :-)

I was crossing my fingers
that we would call a timeout and throw another one deep just to make a bigger point. An onside kick?!? It is still blowing my mind that a Big XII coach has so little feel for what the game is about

(Don't know how that happened) I am completely fine with everything Prince did
provided he does it at the end of the 3rd quarter and not the end of the 4th. There is nothing to be gained by turning a 5 TD loss into a 3 TD loss with 90 seconds left. He does this 15 minutes earlier, he’s not a chance to get back into the game.
You can’t even really say that he did it to get meaningful reps for his 2nd and 3rd string because
1. What does he care? He won’t be here next year.
2. Is it meaningful when the game has been out of reach for 10 minutes and you’re playing against 3rd stringers?
I agree with The Boy that I was happy to see Patton bomb one out. As much as I would have loved seeing Patton get 2 TDs in one game (and one career), I would have loved even more connecting on that pass, running it to the 1 yard line and kneeling the ball. Let the clock run out while the players all glare at Ron Prince on the sidelines.

Yup...
…the fact that we all but kneeled on the ball inside their 10 to avoid scoring again, and he responded with the on-side kick and timeouts…THAT’s what made it beyond tacky. If that was at the end of the third, then they could have at least pretended they were still in the game…
