KenPom is up at full capacity
www.kenpom.com has updated with predictor data for the remainder of the season, as well as the individual player numbers and rankings. Of note for our Tigers:
The predictor has us favored to win every game for the rest of the season except @Texas, @kansas, and @K-State. With the weighted percentages, it has us sweeping the rest of the non-con and going 12-4 in the conference for a 26-5 record.
The team numbers tell us some things we know, and others we may not have. For example:
- Surprise! We're not good at Free Throw Shooting or defensive rebounding! We get lots of steals!
- We're the 6th best offense in the country right now?
- We're very good at not turning the ball over and getting offensive rebounds.
Amongst the individual numbers and rankings from that same page:
- Lyons and Carroll take up most of our possessions, and do the most rebounding. Tiller gets lots of steals. I know, I was shocked too.
- Matt Lawrence just does not turn the ball over. Probably a function of him not dribbling the ball. Ever. He also rates as one of the best in the country in Offensive Rating because he doesn't do anything but shoot from 3 point land or 2 feet from the basket.
- I thought Taylor would look better from a rebounding standpoint.
- Not an advanced metric, but everyone on the team is shooting at least 33% from 3, except Denmon's awful 20%. Guess who's taken the most threes after Lawrence?
Lots of fun all around there. It gives us a 30% chance of SWEEPING Kansas. Who would've guessed that at the beginning of the year?

Seems like his tables love Missouri...
Had us at #44 in the nation last year, which put us ahead of OU, Vandy, and WKU, among others.
