Surprise! OU plays the disrespect card
Can't find any reason to be disrespected? Oklahoma players can't be burdened with "facts" when trying to get motivated...

God, it's getting so, so, so tired.
To quote the venerable Iam4 over at missouritigers.com:
BIG BOB STOOPS, ACCEPT THIS AS MY UNDYING DEVOTION AND LOVE, ALBEIT UNWORTHY, TO YOU AND THE SAINTS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE US WHO ARE ALL SOONER FANS.
That said, Bob Stoops is probably my least favorite human.

I mean...at what point is he going to tell the team individually
that Tebow went to their house and killed their dog or something? Don’t we seem just about a half-step shy of this already?

Stoops will tell his players...
… that Tebow is disrespecting them by giving credit to God rather than OU.

An excerpt from the screenplay I'm writing:
/Door of the OU locker room swings open

Stoops (addressing his waiting team): “Gentlemen… (deep sigh) ….I didn’t want to have to tell you this. I’m not that type of person. I’m not. But I can’t hold it in anymore.”

Bradford (looking up from his playbook): “What…what is it, coach?”
Stoops: “Well…as you know, I have friends in the CIA. And they told me…that Tim Tebow was actually responsible for 9/11.”

Frank Alexander (screaming): “I KNEW IT! I KNEW THAT GOD-BOY WAS BEHIND IT! THEY’RE DISRESPECTING AMERICA! AND US!!!”
Bradford: “Well, maybe we should calm down. We don’t really know if it’s…”
Stoops: “WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST SAY, BRADFORD?!? I SAID THEY CAUSED 9/11!”

Austin Box: “Yeah! And I heard he hates white people!”
Bradford: “That doesn’t make any sense. Tebow is white. Why would he hate wh…”
Alexander (still furious): “I’LL KILL ‘EM! I’LL KILL ’EM!”
/runs through wall
/punches Elvis Fisher again
/still isn’t ejected
Stoops: “SO LET’S GO GET ’EM!”
/runs onto the field
/looks other way as players work illegally at car dealership
/kicks puppy
Bradford: “God, I can’t wait to go pro.”

Looking back...
…my favorite part is easily Austin Box. I like that his only role is some sort of crazy reverse race-baiting.
Could have been anyone, but for some reason, that makes me giggle.

Best part
far and away was
“/looks other way while players work illegally at car dealership”
That’s mostly because I’ll never stop thinking that the whole Big Red Sports and Imports thing was classic.
It's a funny name.

I completely agree
I am not a fan of Tim Tebow or Florida. I would love for the Big 12 to take the trophy and give a big “what’s good!!” to the ESPN’s of the world.
BUT…
Sam Bradford talks soooo much shit, especially in the last few weeks, that it would absolutely make my day to see him get completely STOMPED by the Gators on the 8th. He needs a good kick in the ass along with Stoops.
Plus he’s funny looking. Yeah I said it.
He is funny looking
not to be totally cruel, but he has an oompa loompa look about him. Great QB, but goofy looking.
He deserves to be in the funny-looking but good All-Big XII team
with Kirk Hinrich, Richard Roby, and Michael Beasley. Any I’m missing?

I traveled dwon from Chicago for the Big 12 Title...
I also traveled down for the OK State game this year…needless to say, Saturday left a horrible taste in my mouth after also witnessing the turning point in our season earlier this year. After getting back from the game Saturday night, my buddy and I flip on the tube to see Bradford playing the ‘disrespect card’ and both of us about puked.
I actually liked the kid, but now, I hope McCoy wins the Heisman.
Not to mention…can’t a team just be motivated to win because that is what they are supposed to do? Why is it always, the fans and or media didn’t believe in us…or the thrid string cornerback on the other team said we werea fluke…why do top notch athletes crave false motivation?
Regardless, I will be rooting for OU and a much deserved Big 12 Title game championship in the BCS title. That said, if OU does lose, I will most certainly take delight in some of their pain (particularly the pain of Stoops and Bradford).
Oklahoma and Stoops
I think Oklahoma and Stoops as pushed ahead to #2 on my favorite arch-nemesis to root against chart (#1 Kansas, #3 Nebraska). When we beat them again it most certainly won’t be soon enough.
(Here’s hoping for a run in the future where Oklahoma loses a couple big games to us for a change! I hope Stoops is still the coach when this happens, btw.)
