I got the game streaming from snowy Chicago and we're up 4-0 in the top of the second. Crow hasn't been impressive, but he's pitched out of jams in these first two innings.

Senne with a solo homer to right to lead off the bottom of the third.

Berger throws a scoreless first. Sounds like Cheese is throwing strikes.

Priday with an RBI single in the bottom of the first. Great start for the Mizzou offense--single, single, deep sac fly, single. Senne's up now–more updates coming.

Cheese with a 1-2-3 inning. Still 2-0 Mizzou.

I got the game streaming while watching West Virginia beat Duke (hopefully).

We got two on in the third, but Trevor Coleman hit into a double play.

Cheese strikes out two more, now has five on the game. He's locating his fastball well and changing speeds on his curveball. If he can keep that up, Baylor doesn't stand a chance.

Got Gray to second on a single and a bunt, but Folgia couldn't bring him in.

West Virginia leading Duke 55-46 with 5:40 left. Let's go Mountaineers!

Cheese with his sixth strikeout of the game. Mach made a nice barehand play on a bunt as well.

3-0 to the bottom of the 5th.

He's only walked FOUR batters this year.

Mizzou fails to score in the fifth. We're getting a few scattered base hits and walks, but Tollison is doing pretty well now.

Those first two innings likely could be the difference in this one the way Cheese is going.

Cheese overcame some control issues and threw another scoreless inning. He's now got 7 K's, too.

I'd like to see us drive in a few more runs, but luckily, it doesn't look like we'll need them.

...Kyle Gibson?  The pressure's on you now.  16 innings, 4 hits, 0 runs, 18 K's for Mizzou's starters in this series.

I like that we got some hits against what is clearly a very strong team, but I am with you, the clutch hitting has not quite been there today.  Would love to see this effort closed out....making quite the continued flash on the national scene.

And come back to these results. That's absolutely insane. I knew the pitching trio was good, perhaps great. But I didn't know THIS good/great.

In the preview post on Corn Nation that I linked to, they'd mentioned Mizzou "Feasting on cupcakes." I had believed that to be true as well, but if the Tigers pull another win on Sunday like they have in Games 1 and 2, they'll make a HUGE statement both around the conference and around the nation.

I was at the game yesterday and heard a Baylor fan say that heading into this weekend, in regular season Big12 play (over 12 years) Baylor has only been shut out twice.

Now 2 times in 2 days.  

That was mindboggling to me.

Am coming in for the Okie State series...will likely be out there Friday night and Sunday afternoon...I know they moved the Saturday game to the late afternoon for TV, but put it up against the Final Four...oh well.

So much for that whole "lack of offense" thing.

I don't think you can open up conference play better than sweeping the No. 14 team in the nation, throwing two shutouts, and outscoring them 22-2.
