Baseball in O'Fallon

Well, it's finaly here! I've been waiting for these two games to come to town so I don't have to drive all the way to COMO to watch a sport in the cold...

Well, it's finaly here! I've been waiting for these two games to come to town so I don't have to drive all the way to COMO to watch a sport in the cold... like last Saturday. Today's weather is supposed to be crappy so I'll just feel like I'm at the football game again without the large crowd or junky tent sale (where has all the good stuff gone?)

If you guys haven't been to the TR Hughes ball park yet it's worth the trip. It's a nice stadium for watching baseball and getting in and out is pretty easy. The 6:30 start is easy enough too. But the weather forecast for tonight is pretty bleak.

So maybe today's baseball game will be a good time to buy BEEF a beer for his birthday too? Happy birthday old man.

We are actually going to try to make it out there tonight...weather permitting of course. Are they going to sell beer at the park tonight? That would be great if they did...I guess I figured they wouldn't though.

You know, I HOPE they're selling beer

since it's not on university grounds I'd think the stadium would want to make the money on the drinks. Maybe not... BUT, if they are and it's not raining, I'll buy you both a beer.

Weather has turned around

the tailgatequeen and I (I had better not use people's real names, lord know what might happen and I would hate to have to moderate my own site) had thought about calling off tonight's effort...but if it is does not rain from here on out we might show up after all...though I suppose I should probably consult her on that :-)

And I still missed it..

the birthday plans changed at the last second and we missed it....we WILL be out there tonight however. Am excited/curious to see Berger in his movement from the weekend rotation to this game and how he bounces back from the thumping if he in fact starts tomorrow night.
