ESPN: Big 12 a big winner during BCS era
I interrupt the voting controversy for a link with nothing to do with basketball, wrestling, brackets, or claims of voter fraud (It's like November in May!).
The article itself (linked to in the FanShot title, as well) was of secondary interest to me compared to the tables at the bottom, denoting the Top 10 Players, Games, Teams, and Moments in the Big 12 during the BCS era.
It's hard to argue most of the picks, but several choices - Mizzou or otherwise - may be up for debate. Are the 2007 versions of OU, MU and KU really the Nos. 6-8 best Big 12 squads since the formation of the BCS? Is Aqib Talib really the 10th best player in Big 12 history during that time period?

The Talib thing really threw me...
...but I guess they just perused the list for BCS bowl MVPs who were from the Big 12…that’s really the only explanation.

That's what really surprised me.
No Roy Williams?
For that matter, no Darren Sproles?
Plus, I assume it’s only players whose careers are over. Otherwise, I think our intrepid “Battlefield Commander/Booger/Watermelon Balls of Fury” would slot in somewhere at 6-8.

Chance McDanielson for Heisman
depends...
...he hasn’t played in a BCS game (yet), so I don’t know if he was ‘eligible’ for the list. Granted, Eric Crouch didn’t play well in a BCS game, but he still played in one…
