So...we've given you some Illinois links, we've taken you beyond the box score, we've asked our esteemed panel of uber-knowledgeable contributors for their opinions, and we've asked an Illinois blogger for his own opinion on how the Fighting Illini will do in 2008. Now it's your turn. In the comments below, answer the following questions.
1. What will the Illinois-Mizzou final score be?
2. How many wins will Illinois have in 2008?
3. How many passing yards for Chase Daniel on August 30?
4. How many all-purpose yards for Arrelious Benn on August 30?
5. Who will do the broadcast for ESPN?
Here's UI's schedule, in case you haven't seen it:

Alright, put your sparkling reputations on the line and let us know what you think.

My turn...
1. What did I say earlier? Something like 31-20 Mizzou? Well since The Beef has stolen that one, I’ll up the scoring a bit and say 38-26.
2. I say 8-4. Lose to Mizzou, lose to either PSU or Michigan, lost to Wisconsin, lose to Ohio State.
3. 344
4. 213
5. God I hope it’s Franklin and Blackledge. As long as it’s not Whatshisname and Ware from last year’s broadcast…can’t take another “Ware sounds like Juice’s uncle” affair. Then again, I won’t be watching on TV this year, so I guess I don’t care.

By "whatshisname" did you mean Pam Ward?...
I’m also saying 8-4 for the Illini with losses to Mizzou, ‘Sconsin, PSU, and Michigan at the Big House.
Nice W Michigan patsy in the middle of conference. Weak.

Here goes nothing...
1. 38-28
2. 8. Losses to Mizzou, Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin. Maybe I’m just being extremely hopeful that they knock off tOSU, but at home…maybe they can get it done.
3. How many passing yards for Chase Daniel on August 30? 298
4. How many all-purpose yards for Arrelious Benn on August 30? 267
5. Who will do the broadcast for ESPN? I’ll go with Franklin and Blackledge just because I don’t feel like looking up all the possible combos of ESPN broadcasters.
Will...I...be...able...to...play...softball...tomorrow?
Oh, no, Mr. Scioscia. At this time tomorrow, you'll barely be able to breathe.

This is what will happen
1) 42-21 Mizzou
2) 10-2 They only lose to Mizzou and at Wisc – upsetting OU once again. I don’t think Mich will adapt quickly enough to their new style of play to be an elite team next year.
3) 367
4) I’m going with 85 yards recieving – I have no idea how many return yards
5) some assbag who will talk about how great the big ten is

Belated predictions
Just got back from my brother’s bachelor party, so here we go:
1) 38-23, Mizzou
2) 8-4, following the exact same logic used by The Boy up above
3) 313 yards
4) 171 yards
5) Mike Patrick and Todd Blackledge

hmmm
1- 41-24 mizzou
2- 7 wins, although 6 wouldn’t surprise me if the have a bad day against iowa or nw. osu will be planning a massive beat down for them. i can’t see them winning at psu, mich or wisc.
3- 333
4- not many receiving, alot of kickoff returns
5- i wish it was bill curry, but i think he only does sec games
