The Cotton Bowl TRANSMOGRIFICATION

yeah....I guess I am still on a Calvin and Hobbes kick from yesterday (I do own every single book published after all). But, I was taking a look at our friends over at Burnt Orange Nation and found these pictures from the Cotton Bowl renovation/expansion. Mizzou fans in attendance will attest to there having been some ground work done leading up to our game, but in six months, here is the progress which has been made. I saw those on BON the other day

The city of Dallas is trying so damn hard to keep that thing alive because everything and everyone is moving their games over to JerryWorld in Arlington.

The CB has the Red River Shootout thru 2015 and the Battle of the Bands game, but I’m not sure what it has beyond that.

The Cotton Bowl should

consider adding another scoreboard. Last year during the game, the scoreboard/videoboard was behind me and I always had to turn around to find out the down and distance. The Cotton Bowl game will move to the Cowboys new stadium when the contract expires. The concourses are way too small, it was so hard to get to my seat, and isn’t the Cowboys new stadium around $100 million?

I’ll agree on those concourses. It took FOREVER for me to get to my seat.

ditto...

...and the construction sure didn’t help in that regard. Pursuit of my seat was made infinitely worse by the WOOO PIG SOOOOIE chants…of course, any pain and annoyance from that was offset by the sight of a perfectly half-empty stadium in the 4th quarter…
