This certainly lessens the sting of losing Keon, though it’ll be at least a year-and-a-half before Mike D makes an impact on the Mizzou program. But landing Dixon (and hopefully Snaer) should throw some of the wolves off the scent in case 2008-09 doesn’t produce a tournament berth of any kind.

On a personal note, I’m glad I found this blog. My work recently shut off access to not only powermizzou, but also tigerboard. Talk about the wrong time of the year to do that to me. I look forward to some discussions as practice gets started next week.

I had not heard the news until about an hour ago. I was in the car, listening to the beginning of Soren Petro’s show, and he led with the news. Petro is close to Dixon’s dad, and has known Mike since Mike was a little kid (Petro recounted how Mike watched the 1996 Kentucky-Syracuse national title game sitting on Petro’s shoulders). Raved about what a great kid Mike is, how solid his family is, and what a fine job Mike Anderson did in the recruitment.
