COLUMBIA, Mo. -- After a couple of early inspections of NCAA Football 09, Jeremy Maclin isn't sure that game developers completely captured him in their computer simulation.
"I think they did a pretty good job, but they could have had me a little faster," Maclin said.
-- From ESPN's Tim Griffin... Anyone who's played with Maclin in NCAA 09 should agree with me that the thought of Maclin any faster in the game is a scary, scary thought.

Maclin
It dawned on me after making Jeremy’s 2008 Preview Video that it just simply wasn’t fair how much faster he was than everyone else on the field. It reminded me of the glitch in the OLD John Elway’s Quarterback game on the NES where you could call a certain play and pass the ball to a certain player and that player would run 10x faster than everyone else on the screen. You could run laps around the entire field and never have a defender get within 25 yards of you.
So…I suggest from here on out that Maclin be referred to as Jeremy “Cheat Code” Maclin.
We need to keep a list.
We’ve got Nunchuk, Watermelon Balls, and Cheat Code. We had MotherRucker, but he’s gone.

Thrust nunchuk upward!
MotherRucker is the gold standard of nicknames, imho.
But “Cheat Code” could catch on, although it will be lost on the older generation of fans. That older generation, however, probably isn’t reading this blog.
Other than Atch, of course.
Go to about the 4:00 mark of this video to see what I was talking about in John Elway’s QB, btw:
