Rock M Nation: Postgame Podcast #3
Behold Postgame Podcast #3! It's an abbreviated session, as the skies opened up at the 14-minute mark. Not that we had anything left to say at that point anyway...MizzouRobot Ridiculous Matt, you were missed...
Oh yeah, and Mizzou has scored ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE POINTS IN THREE GAMES. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Oh, no, Mr. Scioscia. At this time tomorrow, you'll barely be able to breathe.

Star article says we were trying to call of fake
http://www.kansascity.com/167/story/795799.html
According to Tommy Saunders, the coaches were trying to call timeout, but because he wasn’t facing the sideline, he didn’t see it. Pinkel also says the he didn’t expect Chase to score on the play, just wanted the first down.
Not sure how I feel about running up the score, I love that Pinkel doesn’t want to embarrass anyone, but you can’t kneel it all half. You also can’t play your starters for only the 1st half during the entire pre-season. I guess the answer is probably to schedule a tougher non-con. I’m not talking about getting a home-and-home against LSU but we could probably keep from running up the score (but still win) against a team like, say, Purdue or Oregon St. Or, at least, if we ran up the score, no one would say we were scheduling cream-puffs to make us look good.
Of course, it’s easy to say that now, knowing how damn good we are. If, 2 years ago, I had seen a non-con sked of Illinois, Purdue, Oregon St. and Memphis, I would have thought we were crazy.
