Gabbert: Go or No Go?
So, for those with PowerMizzou subscriptions, smoke signals are starting to emerge from the Mizzou football program about the plan for Blaine "The Chosen One" Gabbert as it pertains to SEMO and to the rest of his career. Out of respect for Gabe, I won't discuss the news itself, but rather address the issue at hand.
How Pinkel and Co. handle the Gabbert and the "will he/won't he" redshirt situation has become the $64,000 question as Saturday inches closer, but what would YOU do with Gabbert, ideally?

We needed Chase his freshman year. We don’t need BG this year. Patton is arguably one of the best backups in the country, where Brandon Coleman was really good at holding for an XP, but not much else. Chase won us a game or two his freshman year. BG won’t/shouldn’t get the chance to this year.

agreed
For everything that Gabbert may bring to the table (arguably the first “true” QB Mizzou has had in years) he’s to raw to run this system, even against an overmatched opponent. Chase new this system as well as the coaches did when he got here, so him playing in it was a given. Sit Gabbert.
