I couldn't care less about Daniel's draft stock, but his "legacy," as it were, is lower in my mind at the end of this season than it was at any point over the previous two. Really, I'd prefer to remember him as the insanely accurate master of the four and five-wide, no-huddle spread who couldn't miss in the freezing, winner-take-all game with Kansas to close a spectacular, unconscious season in 2007. So if Daniel's not willing to attribute his late slide to a thumb injury, I will: Get better soon, big guy.
Dr. Saturday, on the "Chase's thumb was injured" story. We said on here a few times that it just seemed like something was different about the ball he threw over the last half of the season, so I'll just say...Doc, I agree with you completely.

I believe this...
if only because it makes me feel better about his performace for most of the season. Come to think of it, I will choose to believe that he got hurt at the end of the first drive in the OK State game…after which he never looked the same.
Regardless of whether it was an injury, too much hype, or just bad play by Chase, I think we can all forgive #10 for a subpar 2nd half to the season. He gave us a hell of a lot of good memories and I will be forever grateful to him for that.
