KC Star: MU's Pinkel wants more consistency from the offense
"In order to win, you have to learn how not to beat yourself," Pinkel said, pausing only briefly to make sure to compliment Oklahoma State on all that the Cowboys did well.
"A lot of mistakes today. You’ve got to overcome them, and we’re not good enough to overcome them.
"Our kicking game, our punting game wasn’t as good. We did not look like a well-coached football team. Bottom line, and I’m responsible for that. Well-coached football teams do not make a lot of mistakes, and we did."
At that point, Pinkel quit beating himself up. "Half the football season is left," Pinkel said. "We lost two football games, OK? Golly, are you kidding me?
"You can be doom and gloom all you want. I’m not going to be."

We will persevere and improve as we continue to develop our team. After our meetings, we will have a practice tonight.
