As many of you know, I am not a Mizzou alum. Neither is the man who brought me into this crazy fandom. But I am originally from Texas, the home of
And as the Missouri football program has flourished, so has their fan base. And the number of Tiger bumper stickers, license plate frames and even tire cases has skyrocketed in the Kansas City area. It is actually very exciting to see. It is even more profound when walking around malls or grocery stores in KC. The Tiger fans seem to outnumber the Beakers (at least in KCMO) which has not always been the case.
When I see someone in person with a hat or a shirt, I always say, "Go Tigers." Sometimes it shocks the person but most times, I get a "Go Tigers" back.
But what do you do when you are in the car? The Longhorns have their sign - what is ours? I don't like to honk (and you know it is against the law to just randomly honk) and sometimes I wave to the point of my children wondering if their mother has gone insane.
Do we have a sign?
