we have to go with F'ing costello
There is no way to move the ball with a QB with no mobility on this defese. I’m sorry. We lose the deep ball, but right now we have NO chance
Was thinking the same thing
But if they can’t protect Costello, either, what good does it do? Gabbert’s ankle is a problem, but it’d be OK if he didn’t have to scramble on every play

“I’m beginning to think our coaches secretly hate Mizzou”….
ya know, I get that feeling too. I know they’re a better team and that has a lot to do with it, but GD do they always have to struggle against some other teams and then play flawlessly against us?

What is going on with our QBs. Why are the backups taking up roster spots if they can’t relieve our severely hobbled starter?
One thing I hate about this team
is the coverage and return units aren’t even adequate. It’s one thing to compare them to the Maclin teams, but this unit is just bad—and the offense really needs good field position to be effective.

Mack will let us score some for a little conference cred.
Don’t get too excited yet…
Mack Brown must be
trying to give us revenge after not getting Chase Daniel

You absolutely can
But if the receiver is pushed out and continues to fight, it’s not a penalty.

THey are really handing our DEs their lunch

where is the tackling?
It mayb be the extreme difference in athleticism, but it looks like our defenders are running away from the tackles

Really no sense bitching at Steckel
When a talented offense has it going, and they have more talent, there’s not much you can do.
We can’t get pressure. When we do they have been able to control it with draws and the screen game. They’re just going to have to get cold. We can’t do much to them. I’d just as soon make them run 12 plays and try to get a deflection or fumble.

MS State ties FL
Is it the “superior parity of the SEC”, or are we just that bad?
Good

jesus christ, guys...
I meant score here as in score on their next offensive possession, not blocking the punt. FFS
Maybe we just need some cowbells
I’ll try anything at this point…
Yea - when was the last time
we scored in a minute?
Oooh.
This is painful.
Except that Blake Griffin ad – haha – we beat that dude’s team last year.
That is a really great memory!

So interesting question I saw elsewhere....
if you took a Big12 North “All Star” team, could they beat Texas??
Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
Much more entertaining football.
ESPN/ABC surely regrets booking our game…
Hey, so...
anyone else going to tune over to the New Mexico State game in half an hour and hope it’s being broadcast in Navajo?

we run Gabbert, our broken QB, on a design draw. That play will not work for the rest of the year

I'm telling you
we need to bring in whoever is our backup QB (in theory Costello). If Blaine is hobbled like this, we will not win another Big XII game. The next option has to get experience. I love BG, I love Pinkel, but DAMN…use your freakin heads people.
i think
there’s some formula some where in coaching land that says a qb has to play xxx number of plays before they can be considered experienced.
and xxx of those plays are going to be bad.
otherwise, I don’t understand it either.

WHEN WILL THEY UNDERSTAND
BG’s injury keeps him from running ANY kind of athletic QB misdirection type play
How dumb will we feel if the best recruit of the Pinkel era
Our future star QB loses his career to some kind of ridiculous ankle injury
Maybe the coaches know something about Gabbert we don’t? Maybe he’s secretly acting injured in order to lull Texas into a false sense of security. Hah…
Not here in KC
