I think Boom's going traditional today.

Although, we’ll be rockin’ out with our guac out today. It’s all made and ready to roll.

Unless the Kansas game is for the Big 12 North

is this the last night game for Mizzou this year?

by tiemmel on Oct 24, 2009 11:26 AM CDT reply actions   0 recs

They don't schedule them out that far.

You figure we’re probably in the clear, simply because our upcoming games aren’t marquee battles (games like Mizzou-KSU have “11:30am” written all over them), but technically most of the games haven’t been aside a time yet.

Which brings up a good point, since I'm keeping an eye on Illinois/Purdue

Anybody with any wagers or spreads of note needs to declare them in Live Threads. Here’s what I’m rocking today:

2-Line Parlay:
Georgia Tech (-240 moneyline) over Virginia
Oklahoma State (-360 moneyline) over Baylor

Arkansas (+6.5) against Ole Miss

3-Line Parlay:
Notre Dame (-7.5) against BC
Miami (-200 moneyline) over Clemson
Iowa (+1.5) against Michigan State

2-Line Throwaway Parlay:
Texas Tech (-22) against Texas A&M
TCU (-150 moneyline) against BYU

my money

is on
Georgia Tech -6.5
Houston -16.5
Oklahoma State -10.5
Notre Dame -7.5

and I won on last nights Rutgers -10 over Army game

Zac Lee threw another backward pass that was dropped, only this week, NU actually decided to fall on the ball after that. Probably a good idea after what happened last week.

Quick thoughts:

— Dixon is QUICK, man, and without sacrificing control. He had 5 first half fouls, so that’s a concern, but I think he definitely contributes this year.

— Kimmeh is becoming the go-to guy. For better or for worse, he looks confident he can put it up from anywhere.

— Steve Moore’s looking better, although the midrange game is almost non-existent.

— Underwood and Stone hadn’t impressed me in practice, but they actually looked pretty effective last night. They’re both projects, but I think there’s more upside than I originally gave them credit for.

— JT and Zaire are, well, JT and Zaire

— Ramsey was pretty quiet offensively, but I continue to MARVEL at his conditioning. He’s not lightning quick or anything, but he seems to go through Anderson’s conditioning without ANY problems

There is an outside shot they could, for a few minutes or hours, be 1st in the Big 12 North….

INT

Nubs still have two time outs though I think…might get it back with a shot at it.

by miz-zou..fku on Oct 24, 2009 2:40 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Even just taking away the timeouts would be big

It doesn’t look like Nebraska could march in less than 2 minutes with no timeouts.

ISU 3 and out

Predictable, but they also played to let their defense hold one more time. Can’t argue with that. Pin ’em deep with no timeouts.

Watched the Pitt win over USF

Their RB, Lewis (and the o-line), looks legit. I’m not surprised they beat USF at home but they manhandled them and shut the offense down completely.

I really don't like Alabama

I love Ingram and Julio Jones, but I don’t like teams that can only play one way to win. ‘Bama has to play out front with field position. If they get down a couple scores they’re just not that good.

If—and it’s a big if—they go on to be in the SEC title game, and if they beat the presumptive East champ Florida, I could see them getting beat by almost any team that might match up with them.
