National Thread: Oct. 24
Mizzou doesn't play until late tonight, so hop in the national thread to talk some football, shake off the rust, and get into full gear before the evening. You know the drill - state what you're watching and what you're drinking, then have at it.

They don't schedule them out that far.
You figure we’re probably in the clear, simply because our upcoming games aren’t marquee battles (games like Mizzou-KSU have “11:30am” written all over them), but technically most of the games haven’t been aside a time yet.

Quick thoughts:
— Dixon is QUICK, man, and without sacrificing control. He had 5 first half fouls, so that’s a concern, but I think he definitely contributes this year.
— Kimmeh is becoming the go-to guy. For better or for worse, he looks confident he can put it up from anywhere.
— Steve Moore’s looking better, although the midrange game is almost non-existent.
— Underwood and Stone hadn’t impressed me in practice, but they actually looked pretty effective last night. They’re both projects, but I think there’s more upside than I originally gave them credit for.
— JT and Zaire are, well, JT and Zaire
— Ramsey was pretty quiet offensively, but I continue to MARVEL at his conditioning. He’s not lightning quick or anything, but he seems to go through Anderson’s conditioning without ANY problems

ISU 3 and out
Predictable, but they also played to let their defense hold one more time. Can’t argue with that. Pin ’em deep with no timeouts.

I really don't like Alabama
I love Ingram and Julio Jones, but I don’t like teams that can only play one way to win. ‘Bama has to play out front with field position. If they get down a couple scores they’re just not that good.
If—and it’s a big if—they go on to be in the SEC title game, and if they beat the presumptive East champ Florida, I could see them getting beat by almost any team that might match up with them.
