That was bad.
I’m somewhat embarrassed, but I think Mack Brown let up at halftime.

i would say it was embarrassing. but texas clearly was the better team.
so i’m not surprised at the outcome. it really sucks that was home coming.
it was so bad in the 3rd quarter my abc station switched over to the USC game.

Will Ebner had a couple of nice plays.
"You get a lot of national exposure like that" Weatherspoon said. "Lot of people out there not really talking about the Tigers. . . . .You've got to go out there and get respect if you want it."

To paraphrase the great Jim Mora:
“Well, what happened was, we got our a** kicked. In this game, we just got our a** totally kicked. We couldn’t do diddly poo offensively, we couldn’t make a first down, we couldn’t run the ball, we didn’t try to run the ball, we couldn’t complete a pass – we sucked. The first half, we sucked. We couldn’t stop the pass. Every time they got the ball, they went down and got points. We got our a** totally kicked in the first half – that’s what it boiled down to. It was a horses**t performance in the first half. Horses**t. I’m totally embarrassed and totally ashamed. Coaching did a horrible job. The players did a horrible job. We got our a** kicked in that first half. It sucked. It stunk.”
On the plus side, Aldon Smith acquitted himself fairly well.
It's a funny name.

I liked the games Spoon and Gachkar had too...
…and Danario. So, uhh, that’s four positives…

That was fucking painful.
Just watched the game on my DVR…shit. We looked like a bunch of little leaguers out there compared to Texas.
What was even worse was when I was at the Arizona game tonight, some bandwagoning Texas fans were sitting next to me and kept going on and on and on about their team.

What, no iTunes yet?
Just to prove I listened…and yes, it is very easy to do.

Bad effort
Not good on homecoming vs. a top ten team…on national television. If they can’t get stoked for this one, what are we to expect?

I had no problem with the effort.
Effort wasn’t the issue.

I'm sure the team was plenty stoked
Obviously, Texas is on a whole different level than we are (surprise)…but we didn’t bring much to the table in that first quarter and had at least 3 or 4 terrible defenses breakdowns. I think it is okay to be disappointed in that personally. I was just hoping we could at least make it a close, entertaining game for the Homecoming crowd.
That said, the big picture argument Bill and others have trumped is the smart one. Mizzou has winnable games ahead…and if they get the job done, the season can be a building block for next year. Keep your heads up everybody.

I do agree...
…be as disappointed as you want by breakdowns, I was just trying to clarify that I didn’t think effort was an issue…they were still playing hard in the second half…it’s the execution (and, of course, talent level) where the problems came.

no.
Talent was the issue. Not to mention all our mistakes.
