Looking for Tigers in ATL (and another meatloaf recipe)
Heading to Atlanta next weekend to see my Bears in the Georgia Dome Sunday night. I'm there Saturday morning, and I'm looking for a spot to watch the Tigers game. Any suggestions? I'm staying at the Midtown Atlanta Hotel. Hoping there is a nice Tiger group somewhere down there.
Since this has to be 75 words, here's another meatloaf recipe.
Southern Meatloaf RecipeI wanted to make a truly southern meatloaf like my grandmother made when I went to visit her. She never wrote her recipe down. It was always there in her head, but I never took the time to write it down. I think this is the closest I've come to reproducing Grandma's best meatloaf. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
Southern Meatloaf Ingredients• 2 pounds ground beef
• 1/2 pound fresh ground pork
• 1 cup dry bread crumbs
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1/2 teaspoon pepper
• 1 large egg
• 3 tablespoons butter
• 1/2 cup hot water
Southern Meatloaf Recipe Directions
Place a medium sized baking pan into a cool oven and heat oven to 350 degrees.
Place the hot water into a large mixing bowl and add the butter. Stir until completely melted. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well.
Shape mixture into a loaf and place in heated baking pan. Cook your meatloaf for approximately 40 minutes or until an internal temperature of 170 degrees has been reached.
Don't overcook or the meatloaf will be dry. You may serve this southern meatloaf either hot or cold. My kids like to use ketchup when eating this, but I prefer sauteed onions on the top of mine.
This recipe also freezes well, so it can be a good idea to double the recipe and make 2 loaves of meatloaf at once. It will take a bit longer to cook 2 meatloaves, but use an internal meat thermometer to test for doneness. Cool 2nd meatloaf completely before covering in freezer wrap and storing in your freezer for another night. Thaw in your refrigerator and reheat in 350 degree oven. Cover the meatloaf with aluminum foil while reheating to make sure the meatloaf doesn't dry out.

Atlanta Tiger
There is some Mizzou presence down here in Atlanta. I will actually be in California next week so I can’t show you any places. When there is a watch party it is usually at Taco Mac at Lindbergh Station but I have not heard about one for the OSU game. Georgia plays early in the day next week so you don’t have to worry about being surrounded by Dawg fans. Any place you find should be fine.
Peace Up, A-town Down
I know a guy down there
And will ask…
Also and OT, but every year my wife and I have something we call “Meatfest” where we get some friends over and we all make a seperate meatloaf, then eat ourselves to death. This will be added to the list.
Formerly known as Mizzou Grad
Have you looked at the Alumni Association?
I’ve never attended Mizzou, but have been invited to join the Alumni Association here in San Diego before. I’d imagine Atlanta has a branch, too.

Shot an email to them. No reply. Same thing here in Knoxville.
I had great luck in Omaha. There was actually a very active group (Tigers of the Corn). Met up for games, and ended up being a pretty large group.
