Around SBN: NHL Trade Rumors: Do You Make A Move For Rick Nash?

"It was a read-and-react play," Gabbert said. "And I didn’t read or react."

Blaine Gabbert, on Suh's game-turning INT last night. Give credit where it's due: BG has no trouble taking responsibility for his mistakes. Not a given for the stereotypical blue-chip QB.

Seriously...

In his postgame interviews last night, Gabbert refused to transfer ANY of the blame. He was asked what the difference in the game was, and this was his reply:

“My two turnovers. Those were huge key plays that gave them 14 points. That can’t happen.”

Props to Blaine for taking some of the blame

it wasn’t all his fault.

But I like that he’s stepping up and shouldering the load.

Now hopefully he can take that and use it to grow

rather than just beat himself up and break his own confidence.

It’s a fine line, but sounds like he has the right disposition and is getting the right advice. I’m hopeful.

I think (though I could never prove a thing) that Chase Daniel started letting these things get to him TOO much in his last year.

I want to trade players between my teams. Spoon can go to the Leafs (truculossity!), and Vesa can go to the Tigers, where conceding 6 points a game puts you at the top of the league, not the bottom.

Sometimes we read waaaayyyy too much into these post-game comments

but to me, having a sense of humor about the whole thing is the healthiest possible sign. Although it wasn’t even close to all his fault, he probably legitimately deserves the singular largest share of blame—with enough to go around. Having a quick wit and sense of humor suggests, well, to quote the earlier post from today, perspective.
