So, how do you factor in

the fact that Justin was the only threat on the defensive line? I realize that his reputation hadn’t proceeded him during his freshman year, but the other teams DID scout. They knew that they couldn’t let Godzilla beat them. Aldon, however, has several other threats that teams have to block, so he gets more opportunities.

Not saying he won’t be better than Justin when all is said and done, but the numbers can’t really be a straight-forward comparison. Obviously, that wasn’t the intention of this post, but having grown up a baseball fan, I’m a numbers guy.

I think it’s fair to say the author of this post may also classify himself as a numbers guy.

Hmmm. You don't say?

What would make anyone suspect that?

actually, the line was pretty damn good in 1998...

…not as athletic as what we’ve got now, but we did have guys like Steve Erickson, Pat Mingucci, Terrell Jurineack, etc. In 1999-00, the talent just continued to shrink down, but in 1998 I think they were pretty good.

Wow!

I’ve met Aldon in person. His level of ripped-ness is staggering. An absolute athletic freak.

He hit it good. He hit it good.
