Hey, hey!  We're bowling!  And Gary Pinkel has now officially beaten Bill Snyder.  Consider this the victory thread.  Victory whiskeys all around!

Great pic.

Pretty much sums up the day.

Denario > everyone else.

You know what?

Gary Pinkel beat Bill Snyder.

Solid performances on both sides of the ball after some sloppy play in Q1.

Color me impressed.

Am I the only one who thinks our offense should go up tempo more often? We looked damn good running the two minute drill to end the first half of both these games. I guess you don’t wanna overwhelm a rookie QB, but Gabbert looked damn poised running it this time.

Also, 8 quarters at least without turnovers for the Tigers wooo.

Zooker loses to Northwestern and is eliminated from bowling.

Probably finishes the season at 3-9 (Cincy, Fresno left). Is he the head coach next year?

by Big Head on Nov 14, 2009 3:57 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

That depends

Can Illinois afford it? Word around here is that they might not be able to. I think if they beat Fresno with Charest starting, you could make an argument to keep him. It’s not a good one, but he has a big contract. Essentially, imagine wanting to can Pinkel in a couple years after the big extension.

Maybe if kU’s football team would spend some time practicing some defense instead of picking fights with the basketball squad, they’d win a Big 12 game once in a while.

"Backs in the 'I'...First and 10...McNabb, play action. Is back again. He is looking..he is going deep. He wants DeSean Jackson..who HAS IT!!! HE HAS IT!!! AND STEPPED INTO THE ENDZONE!! He took it away from the defender!! He took it away from Dominique Rogers-Cromarte, and ran into the endzone!!"

Alternate headline:

Danario Alexander defeats Kansas State, 18-12, as Ressel and Washington add 20 extra points.
