Report: Tony Mitchell, um, doesn't commit but enjoys visit tremendously...but then does commit
UPDATE, 1:26 p.m.: Gabe at PowerMizzou (the best source Mizzou fans have) is indicating that the story jumped the gun. The rest of the post will remain here, but know that this development casts the commitment in doubt.
This according to an old colleague of mine at TexasHoops.com.
UPDATE, 1:35 p.m.: Asian kid removed for fear of jinx. Update via Gabe's PowerMizzou story:
"We didn't want to come up and make a decision on the visit," the friend told PowerMizzou.com. "We'll get back home and sit down and talk about it. We'll have a decision in the next couple of days and we'll release it to the public then."
UPDATE, 3:28 p.m.:It is official once again, as the story is officially broken by Jerry Meyer of Rivals. For those that subscribe, click here.

Per Gabe DeAarmond, aforementioned story jumped the gun
And is being taken down. Mitchell hasn’t committed yet.
Yet.

Holy kerap
a) go us
b) Scanning down their list of the top kids in the country (in any position), it looks like Memphis got #2, 8, 15, and more on down. That is a RIDICULOUS recruiting class. No other teams seem to be getting that consistency picking up the top kids.

Though amusing
This site lists Mitchel’s offers as: "Arizona State, Georgetown, Kansas State, Maryland, Oklahoma State ". I.e., they don’t include the school he’s apparently now committed to.
This tells us that either a) Huuuuuge disrespect, RAWR, or b) huge stoopid.

Has anyone heard
about where we stand with Beal? I read something about us having a decent shot at him with Mitchell and Pressey on board, but I don’t know if that was more fantasy from a fellow fan than legit rumor.

The "word" is that we improve our position day by day with Beal
I never saw anything on whether he made it to town on Friday night as was rumored, but I am sure given his proximity we can expect to see him on campus at some point this year. Needless to say, what has transpired in the last 72 hours does not likely hurt our position with him.
