hmm...then again...

Change the sleeves and pants to black, not light black
Put at least a little gold somewhere on the helmet (stripe down the middle? outline the M?)
Other than that, I really like them. I imagine changing the sleeves and pants to real black would call for a helmet redesign color-wise, but I’d be ok with that too.

If it is true white and black and not grey then I am ok with these. I agree as well with not enough gold, but I don’t mind the helmets that much if they look like how I think they do in my head (which is probably not how they really look :-)

I like it ...
… check that, I think the unis are kind of triflin’ looking. But I think it’s cool that Nike is including us in this whole campaign. It’s pretty cool that we’re highly thought of enough that we’re included with Ohio State, Florida, Tha U, Texas, OU, etc. As much as it might seem trivial to us, that kind of stuff can matter to a high-school kid. It might not matter to every kid, but it might matter to one. And if it helps us get a kid to come to Mizzou, then I’m all for it (plus it’ll hopefully be included in NCAA 2011 and that would be SWEET … FYI, I wear gold tops, gold bottoms in big games in NCAA 2010).
The flipside of this coin is, however, that Nike is talkin’ a lot of head on our behalf, so we need to back it up (better than we did with those gold jerseys last year).

I heard
that this is one shot deal. More of Nike’s way to introduce the line to the masses, then get teams to start buying the line next year.
I would like the helmets to have a gold M on them. At least they’re not blank like OU’s…lame!

I am ok with the uni, and helmet. They aren’t horrible.
The black on the sleeves needs to be really black.
I hope the ‘grey’ helmet is actually darker in outside light, and the other black parts are glossy black.

The horrible weather combined with the horrible outcome of the game has (in my opinion) unfairly soured the fanbase on them. How a game turned out shouldn’t have any impact on the looks of a uniform/jersey.

Wow, So much bitching about the unis.
I think they look straight BAD ASS. Especially for a 1-game rollout.
Everyone made jokes about the Oregon Select-a-set jerseys, but they have made the Ducks stand out on the national landscape. The Oklahoma and Ohio State jersies differed from their traditional color schemes, but they looked great on the tube (and I’m sure in person).
While I like the TCU and FSU kits overall better than the one we got, I know the players are Jacked to wear the latest threads when they go crush the fake birds on Saturday.

so many people were really pissed thinking these were horrible. and assuming that what we first saw (the link from 7th floor) is what we’d get. of course nike will make sme changes along the way plus these in my mind are way better than the initial sketch. the helmets are straight-up badass.

maybe it will look great under the lights at Arrowhead, but where is the Gold? You can barely see the Block M, which has been the football team’s trademark for, what, 40 years now? If I’m watching the game on TV, I’d like to be able to tell it’s Mizzou playing without having to check the score.

gold is not...
intimidating whatsoever. however i believe a silver helmet with a white M outlined in gold would look pretty legit. Do you really want to always look and feel the same? Yes they have had the black helmets for 40 years, but have they ever won a championship? Things have to change from the uniforms to the seating capacity of the stadium. Not intending to say that those are related to success but i have to have something to ramble about =D

that part of the key was mentioned by Sleepy up above— the OU and tOSU looked great on the tube… I bet when they get out on the turf at Arrowhead and on the tube, they’re going to look pretty BA. Think what you want about the Nike people, but I am certain that there is a lot of theory and research that is going into these looks. I just think they’ve done themselves a disservice by trying to overhype the unis by using overly dramatic light effects so that you can’t really tell what’s going on.
