Not gonna lie

Mack Brown as Coach of the Year? Congrats, you didn’t screw up? Making Iowa St. relevant, if only for a year, should be recognized.

am i missing something

or did gabbert not even get honorable mention? and perry, rutland and simmons did? really?

by Wooderson on Dec 1, 2009 1:04 PM CST reply actions

wow, hadn't even noticed that...

Oklahoma: 3rd in the country in net punting
Missouri: 4th
Baylor: 56th

Baylor’s punter: 1st team
Oklahoma’s punter: 2nd team

Makes total sense.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist

most of the time… but does it seem to anyone else that the ballyhooing of

For the first time in Conference history all 12 teams are represented on the first-team All-Conference squad.

may indicate some orchestration here? Perhaps they thought that they could sneak one through as no one really pays attention to punters anyway… and who else from Baylor (with Hottub out) is going to warrant 1st team consideration. . . and then the OU punter has to get the next slot because he was one spot better nationally and they’re OU and then Jake Henry gets left out because it’s only Mizzou anyway and who’s going to notice and RAWWWR!

Ask kU who the best punter in the B12 is.

Doubtful.

I doubt all of the coaches are even the ones who actually submit their ballots. Not to mention, they can’t vote for their own, so it’s not like anybody was “sneaking” anyone in.

I had meant

to jump the track to that fickle land of farce— and may have failed. Blast.

shhhhh...

We may have a few of those. Don’t let anyone know!

I, for one (and I think most of Mizzou nation), knew what we were getting from ‘nario. I mean, to see him to best Maclin, no, I didn’t expect THAT. Figured we’d have a solid #1 though.

I’m jacked to see Jerrell Jackson and Wes Kemp get better next year. Throw in Woodland, who’s actually nabbing some PT, and Jimmie Hunt, a Danario clone, good lord! That’s not even talking Moe or Gerau either.

And Marcus Lucas.

What? I can think about it at least.

On many occasions

in the past, my husband swore to return to school at Missouri and become their kicker. “Is there not one person in the State of Missouri that can kick a freaking field goal?” Oh – it was one of his better tirades. Of course, it is out of the arsenal now.

And Jake 4 looks 4 times better with that haircut.

Jake has the biggest hands

I’ve met him and I couldn’t believe the size of his hands. Always thought they were kind of wasted on a punter.
