Amazing how few of the players on that list are from Texas and Oklahoma and Florida and other powerhouses. Alabama had quite a few, even then, only a few.
I wonder if they make a deliberate effort to spread around the glory, or if they are just going by raw stats (meaning weaker competition allows for bigger numbers), or… if the big successful programs really don’t have a lock on the super duper high end talent.
I would hazard a guess
that they are trying to spread the glory around a bit.
