UAPB should have roughly 4-5 offensive rebounds, and they have 7.
Mizzou should have about 4 offensive rebounds, and they have 5.

People are wetting themselves over a bunch of kids who haven’t proven anything yet. I’m not taking away from their athletic ability…but it’s all potential right now…and potential doesn’t mean anything. Ask Blaine Dalton.

by CPC on Dec 19, 2009 8:23 PM CST up reply actions

You can always find examples of 4-star failures and 2-star successes...

…but you’d still rather have more 4-star guys than 2-star guys. Pinkel’s proven he’s going to put together a damn strong program with mostly 2- and 3-star guys, and maybe this class won’t be any more successful than any others, but…well, again, you do have to like the odds.

And Mizzou is on the list along with USC, Georgia, UCLA, Oklahoma, and Florida State.

I would consider this year successful overall and really don’t think we should be considered “desperate” for a bowl win. I would agree with many of the names on the list, but don’t think we should be on there.

Not sure...

…neither seems to have the shooting range as Bowers/Safford. I see Stone playing kind of the Ramsey game, and Underwood is quite simply being molded into a defensive stopper. Their offensive limitations (at least, those that we’ve seen to date…it’s still, uhh, early in their career) suggest they’ll be more of the role-player type than a starter/star, but…well, in this system, we have lots of room for role players.

So...having barely watched any of the game and only glancing at the stats

My one takeaway…

Keith Ramsey had 5 boards…none of them defensive.

I find that odd, and a bit disconcerting.

Hooray for Penn State…
