Around SBN: SB Nation interviews Jerome Bettis

Marcus Lucas a Tiger!

Pinkel and crew did it again!  Marcus Lucas didn't wait until the Army All-American game. to tell the world he will be wearing the Black and Gold!  He committed to Mizzou this weekend.  I am sure everyone here knows - unless you are captivated by the UAPB game or watching another bad Saturday Night Live!  Congrats to the coaching staff.  Two back to back weekends where the top recruiting gems verballed - plus a few other surprise commits.

I am excited about Lucas - I see a Maclin type kid - well, maybe an Alexander type guy.  Either way - man do we have some receivers coming to Columbia!  Sasser, Hunt, Lucas...can I get a Carter puh-lease?

Look out new team rankings - we could see a shot up in the charts to say....13th or 14th?

Lucas, Hunt, Sasser...

…and Carter. I like the sound of that.

This really does have to be considered...

…just about the most successful eight days of recruiting I’ve ever seen in Columbia.

What would even rival it?

just out of curiosity.

Haha

Good point. I can’t think of much. Maybe the week we got BG to leave Nebraska and commit? We immediately knew who was the heir to Chase Daniel once he committed.

Wow - I made the front page

I feel as though I should have taken more time to provide some statistical analysis or something of more substance…other than pure verbal pleasure in knowing we will have an awesome team for some time.

BY THE WAY...

..has anyone seen his highlight video? It’s just one game versus Rock Bridge. But he has about 7 catches for nothing that impressive. You can tell he has the speed and size, but the last 2 clips are the best. He throws about a 45 yards STRIKE for a TD on a WR bubble screen. Then the next play he runs a WR reverse to the weak side and picks the TE in the endzone for about a 10 yards TD pass. This man.. wow. Welcome, to Tiger nation sir.

Carter doesn't have a spot anymore

if he wanted to come to MU, he screwed himself by not committing last weekend.

Yeah, they'll find a way to make it work.

I gotta figure there’s some turnover somewhere, even though only like 3 people are graduating.

Making fun of the "Mizzou Needs a Fullback" Club since...well, for a while, anyway.
