The Big 12 is the best conference in the country. Go ahead, disagree with me. I dare ya.
SI's Seth Davis, a) learning his lesson from when he doubted Mizzou against Memphis last year (to say the least), and b) putting himself on an island, I assume, among national pundits. Might need to look into this and post something later in the week.

it'll be interesting
to see if it will play out…
O/T, but Turner’s injury to his back is basically the same that Justin Gage had (fractures of the transverse processes of the spine). I don’t recall if Gage’s fractures was in the lumbar (lower) vertebra, but either Turner’s condition is much worse, or you’re seeing the discrepancy between being injured in the pros and everyone else.

Not sure how far out Davis is on that limb
The league has the number one and two (and 16 and 23) teams in the country, just humiliated the Pac-10 head-to-head, and one of the teams that isn’t receiving votes is number ten in the latest Pomeroy ratings. Lot of depth in the league. What’s surprising so far is that two of the teams projected to be good (OU and ISU) have struggled, while two projected to suck (Baylor and Tech) have notched some impressive wins.

not the only pundit
Gary Parrish at cbssports.com has been calling the Big12 the best since the pre-season. I think a lot of what I read from Parrish I wind up reading from Seth Davis about a week later.
