Rest in peace, Jeffrey Crawford
A good friend of ours and RMN, Jeffrey Crawford (a.k.a. Jay C) died this weekend. Those who knew him knew one of the more unique, genuine people this world has ever created. He loved Mizzou with a passion, and he will be missed. Those who want information on funeral arrangements, etc., can visit the Tigerboard thread here.
UPDATE, 5:02pm: And if you know Jeffrey AND ZouDave, be sure to check out this gut-wrenching post from ZD. It's amazing the friends you can make thanks to the Internet nowadays--lots of close friendships out there just because of places like Tigerboard. I met Beefy, ZD, Jeffrey and many, many others thanks to Tigerboard, and these people have all become a very integral part of my life.

Wow...
I don’t have much I have to offer outside of what has already been said, but he was extremely affable and a great guy to be around in the few chances I had to talk with him at RMN tailgates.
My best to those who knew him well, especially his family and those around RMN who were particularly close to him.

I didn't know him as well as those of you in STL
though we had hung out once or twice, and we certainly had thousands of conversations/arguments on Tigerboard.
This is incredibly sad. He was a young guy, Beef, The Boy, please update me via Facebook, if you hear anything you think I’d like to know, ok?

Stunning news. It’s truly got me about at a loss for words. Jay was the kind of guy who you had to meet in person to actually like. I couldn’t stand him as NTP/Hustla on TigerBoard, but he came to Booches in the spring of 2004 to hang with a bunch of us before the B&G game which I believe was about the first time anyone had actually met him in person. And in person he was a very nice guy. You couldn’t predict what was going to come out of his posts, but you knew the guy was a real Mizzou fan.

We are better for having known him
He loved community, and he wanted everyone around him to share experiences together and be a part of each other. He wanted camaraderie, he wanted people to be themselves, and he wanted to be friends even with those he disagreed with.
The outpouring today and tonight has been overwhelming. Jeff would be proud, but it’s hard to know what he would have to say about all of this attention. Whatever it is, I’m sure it would be entertaining.
Miss you already, man.
