Wolfert....um....not last at Big XII Diving Championships

Rather than write about it...here are the final numbers for the one meter event

Event 4  Men 1 mtr Diving
===============================================================================
Big 12 Champ: * 396.05        2006 TA&M, TA&M
Big 12 Conf: c 396.05        2006 Eric Sehn, TA&M
Pool Record: p 396.05   2/24/2006 Eric Sehn, TA&M
    Name                              School                  Prelims     Finals       Points
===============================================================================
Finals
  1 Eric Sehn                      Texas A&M           352.45     386.80         20
  2 Drew Livingston          Texas                    367.80     383.95         17
  3 Cam McLean               Texas A&M           346.55     368.70         16
  4 Jonathan Wilcox          Texas                    365.50     366.65         15
  5 Greg DeStephen         Mizzou                   337.90     363.65         14
  6 Dante Jones                Mizzou                   338.05     327.30         13
  7 Jeffery Wolfert              Mizzou                   273.40     272.85         12
  8 Bradley Berryhill         Texas A&M            270.45     270.05         11

Though here are some thoughts on it.  He earned 12 points.  Last year, Mizzou came in 3rd place behind aTm by less than that, so every little bit could help the team accomplish their goal of a 2nd place finish (since, let's be honest, they wont beat Texas)

Congrats to Greg DeStephen by the way who broke a school record with his performance.  In fact, of the 5 events contested on the first day (this and two relays each for the men and women), all 5 had school records broken.

So, how many teams actually compete?

I’m pretty sure, for instance, that kU doesn’t have a men’s swimming team, right? Are we looking at coming in 2nd of 3 teams, or are MU, Texas and A&M the only 3 that happen to be any good at this event?

and, to answer my own question

We are one of 3 Mens teams competing.
Does that mean that we automatically get points in the Border Showdown Challenge since kU is so scared of our team that they disbanded?
