It's the Rock M Nation Weekly Podcast!
Has the "More Cowbell" reference been played out by now? Because I was going to mention that The Beef has joined us on these podcasts by saying "I've got a feeevah, and the only prescription...is more Beef," but then had second thoughts.
Anyhoo, The Beef is onboard the Skype train, and the Weekly Podcast is cooking with gas. Join us as we discuss the following topics:
- Missouri 94, Kansas State 74
- Miguel Paul
- The biggest Missouri-Kansas basketball game since 1990
- The Beef's world famous All-Sports Report
- SB Nation's lovely arrangement with Yahoo! Sports...a topic so exciting, I couldn't contain my own production value. You get to hear more of "Brass Bonanza" in this podcast than you ever wanted to hear. (That said...isn't it a great freaking song??)
And it's pretty clear that after the disaster around the 21:00 mark, only one producer can save me now:

I place the blame for that photo squarely on the shoulders of LG Patterson.

We can have up to 10 seats in the skype conference call...
…so yeah. Bring it on. This could be a completely enjoyable cluster****…but the good news is, clearly my production work isn’t going to get any worse whether we’ve got 3 people or 10.

1994 at Lawrence . . .
was an awfully big game.

Well if we're going to drop that link into the discussion . . .
let’s go back to February 21, 1922, when the ancient rivals met in Columbia with a mythical national championship on the line. OK, let’s not do that.
Actually, The Boy is right (though I’m not sure how I rated a call-out in the daily links section), this one is bigger than 1994. There have been various times when much has been on the line for one team (like the championship game of the 1997 conference tournament; huge for Mizzou, not so much for Kansas, and the Hawks won in a rout), but it’s pretty rare for both teams to have so much riding on the outcome.

slow links day = call-out
…plus, it was an excuse to link to those ’94 games again, which is ALWAYS welcome…

Seen them twice
Once in KC where I got my nose blooded in the mosh pit (one of the opening band’s bass player, no less) and in CoMo at the Blue Note. There new album is tight, and the fact that the front man married the chick is pretty awesome too.
