Taylor and Allen are retired to start the inning, but an Ubrun double, Schweisberger single and Minner double give Mizzou a 2-0 lead before Silver K’s to end the inning.

gives up a meaningless 2-out walk before retiring the side.

leads to Taylor batting in the third run of the afternoon with a ground-out.

off to a very solid start. Mizzou will have the heart of the order coming up as they look to extend the lead in the top of the 3rd

After a leadoff single from Ubrun (her second hit on the day) and has runners on 1st and 2nd with one out, but a Poet K closes the inning without the Tigers getting on the board.

3-0 after 2.5

as she plunks not one, but two Broncos, and then gives up her first hit on the afternoon. However, she gets out of the bases loaded jam with a fielder’s choice to end the inning.

Mizzou still up 3-0 after 3 full

but is called out for leaving first base too soon, ending the inning.

The Tigers get to the Santa Clara starting pitcher and chase her mid-inning on their way to scoring 7 runs. Katie Milles with the big blow as she gets bases-clearing double.

With the 10-0 lead, the Tigers are in good shape to run-rule the Broncos and end this one early.

goes 1-2-3 through the lineup and the game is over. Tigers win their 12th straight to start the season, as Hainey throws a 1-hitter and wins her 2nd game in two days.

The Tigers finished with 15 hits, as Ubrun went 3-4 with 2 runs scored and Schweisberger went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Milles has 3 RBI’s on the day for the Tigers, who actually got only OK production from Taylor or Allen, who both went 1-3 at the top of the order.

San Diego State game scheduled to start around 6:30, so about an hour. Will be interesting to see who starts (Thomas or Delaney) since whoever does will likely not be starting against #4 UCLA tomorrow morning.
