Baylor decides to show up....

And they win. I say this mainly because I hate NU.

Nice header!

Someone’s been working on their P-shop skillz!

Here are my winners

Nebraska over Baylor
Texas over Colorado
OK State over Iowa St
Texas A&M over Tech

kansas barely beats Nebraska
Texas over K-State in a rout
OU beats OSU (Blake does not even get that sweaty)
Mizzou over A&M

Texas beats kU
OU beats Mizzou

OU crushes Texas (but it’s still not enough to get a 1 seed)

love tourney time!

Basketball Prospectus has Log5 Predictions from Pomeroy

Here

For Mizzou:
78.6% odds of winning tomorrow
47.3% odds of making the final
27.4% odds of winning the title

Only kansas and their much easier half of the bracket have higher probabilities at each step.

Texas vs. Colorado

Texas is a 14 point favorite, which side would you bet on?

by jrekf7 on Mar 11, 2009 11:17 AM CDT reply actions   0 recs

That's a tough one.

Here’s my three-team parlay for the day:

Baylor (+1) vs. Nebraska
Syracuse (-6.5) vs. Seton Hall
West Virginia (-5.5) vs. Notre Dame

by RPT on Mar 11, 2009 11:23 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ah...

I got this one:

Under (130) on Baylor vs. Nebraska
Texas A&M (-6.5) vs. Texas Tech
Syracuse (-6.5) vs. Seton Hall

THIS IS TOO MUCH TOO HANDLE!!!

I got Manchester United vs. Inter Milan at 12:45 today and March Madness going on…not to mention the monster matchup on Sunday when United host Liverpool. Thank God the Sprint Cup isn’t racing this weekend, or it’d be pure madness around here…

My predictions

Baylor over NU
Texas over Colorado
OSU over Iowa State
A&M over TT
Then the next round:
KU over Baylor
Texas over KSU
MU beats A&M
OSU beats OU
Semis
Texas over KU
MU over OSU
Finals
Texas over MU

I have a feeling this will not happen though.

So I have a dillema...

my girlfried is getting her wisdom teeth pulled on Friday and expects me to be at her beck and call all weekend. How can I somehow convince her to watch some tourney action with me (or the Mizzou games at least…if they get by Tech/A&M hopefully)?

I’ve premeditated this by ordering flowers and a get well soon balloon to arrive at her place on Friday after her surgery (I can’t take her because of work..her mom is taking her)…perhaps this will give me some wiggle room.

by Bill C. on Mar 11, 2009 1:17 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

8/9 game....just like this one was....

We were in Kemper and going to the entire tournament. It was the first game of the day. Matt Davison entered the game in the middle of the first half, and my two buddies of mine and I (one of whom was a Colorado fan and did not otherwise care) decide to give him the Ryan Robertson treatment and boo him each time he touches it. Of course, with abotu 2,000 people in the place, it does not take long to see us doing this. So we would start, Davison would pass, and we would stop, getting some laughs as people put 2 (Mizzou fans) and 2 (Matt F#ing Davison) together.

So Davison decides to chuck up a 3…and promptly air balls it. This gives us additional fire and ferver as we three are unrelenting. It was not long until he made his way back to the NU bench and we never saw him again….

Dale Murphy

I went to an Astros/Rockies game at the dome, and Murph was playing left field for the Rocks.

It was a sparce crowd, and we were sitting right above the CR dugout. We started (for no aparent reason) to give Murph the business. He struck out twice and grounded into a double play. He missed a pop fly in Left. Every time he trotted back to the dugout, he’s have to look right at us.

We get home after the game and flip on Sportscenter, and low-and-behold “Dale Murphy announces his retirement.”

Of course, I’ll be dropping by Rock M Nation, but I also implore you to check out where I’ll be for the better part of the next three days:

Yep

absolute crazy 2nd half.

Mike Singletary scored 35 in the 2nd half including 29 straight TT points.

Absolutely inexcusable collapse for Turgeon’s team.
