I had little knowledge of either team. I knew Missouri won the Big12 tournament and I knew Cornell would lose to Missouri.
Even more.
Cornell’s biggest win was a 10-point loss to Syracuse. Go BIG RED!

I just remember the one time Leo did that and Matt was just pounding on the door going, “C’mon man, this is bullshit. We have a test in the morning, open the damn door.”
I should have played on the team. I was so against the rules against spinning and all that that I didn’t think I’d have any fun. Played it the next year and actually had a lot of fun. I’m dumb.

my buddy was in Hudson back in 98
we used to eat over there all the time. I never attended Mizzou, but I spent alot of time at Hudson playing quarters, drinking beer, eating that pizza and playing ball at the Rec Center
A friend of mine used to work there
making those pizzas. He would bring at least 2 or 3 home whenever he worked.
I used to work at Rollins Pizza to Go
I’m really not sure what you all saw in that pizza. Tasted horrible. I would have to get creative as hell to make those pizzas any good. I’m talking stuffed crust, any spices I could find, anything. I actually used to make apple turnovers all the time, those were awesome.

I've always thought that...
even though causing turnovers is what we do best…for a team that doesn’t really have a ‘true’ point guard, we take care of the ball really well usually.

Well done Mizzou
We (Cornell) needed everything to go right today— and we got decent efforts from our best player (Wittman) and a solid effort from Foote and Tyler. It also helped that Lawrence was way off. We weren’t going to win with Louis Dale being a complete non factor though, with our without our inability to keep Leo Lyons off the offensive glass.
I felt the biggest stretch of the game was the end of the 1st half— with Mizzou struggling offensively, Cornell had a chance to go into the half with a lead which would have been huge for our confidence. Would Mizzou have won anyway? Most likely, but it would have been more interesting.
Good luck the rest of the way— make the Big Red look better by winning it all :)

This game was one that you pretty much chalk up to overall talent. Cornell runs nice stuff. There kids are where they’re supposed to be, high basketball IQ, hustle, the whole thing. NIce run this year Big Red.

we will be heavy favorites to repeat
Dale/Wittman/Foote/Tyler/Wroblewski/Wire/Reeves will all return and be rotation players, and we add 2 impact transfers— Max Groebe from UMass (a scoring guard/forward) and Mark Coury from Kentucky (a big forward). Neither one of those guys played a lot for his old school, but both did see some action— they should be very effective at the Ivy League level.
Harvard (yes, Harvard) has some great recruits coming in, so they could challenge. A few other Ivy teams will be improved. Cornell should be dancing again though.
In order to beat you guys and your way better talent/athleticism, we had to be on fire, and Dale being off killed us.
Love the fact that Marquette/Utah State went down to the wire
while Mizzou had a reasonably comfortable win.
As for this game, Leo on the boards is the key to this team going forward. That to me is the thing where you see the most game-to-game variance. When Leo’s hitting the glass we’re a much, much better offense. It’s also nice to see Kim English back playing decently.
Goose will be back. DeMarre is DeMarre. And you know what you’ll get from hustle and flow.
