DeMarre at the Portsmouth Tournament opening night

Night one at the Portsmouth Invitational saw DeMarre's Portsmouth Partnership defeat Tidewater Sealants (I think there's a joke in there somewhere...) 90-80.  DeMarre's line went like this:

18 points on 8-11 fgs (0-1 from 3); 2-2 ft; 6 rebounds (3 off., 3 def.); 1 foul; 3 assists, 2 blocks and 2 turnovers in 26 minutes.

Leo's Portsmouth Sports Club team plays the second game tomorrow (9 pm eastern).

Of particular note on night one:  Fran Fraschilla's mancrush Byron Eaton put up a rather ugly 3 pts on 1-6 fgs (1-1 from 3); 4 fouls, 2 assists 4 turnovers and one steal in 23 minutes in K & D Round's Landscaping's first round loss.

Wow...that is a pretty solid line there...

he just needs to keep doing that and he may yet be able to convince an NBA team he is more worthy of a 2nd round pick than some international player who they only choose to hold rights on

After 2 games:

Didn’t want to short Leo… as you all probably heard, his team has lost out of the tournament. Leo’s line from game 1:

15 points on 6-11 from the floor (1-2 from deep) 2-3 FT; 7 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks and a steal

Game 2:

16 points on 5-11 (0-3 from three) 6-8 FT; 5 boards, 1 assist and 1 block

DeMarre’s team won their second game and are still in the winners’ bracket:

Game 2:

11 points on 5-12 shooting, 1-2 free throws; 9 boards and 5 assists. 3 turnovers in this game, but he played 5 more minutes, as well.

DeMarre got some mention at draftexpress.com for his motor after the first game… Leo was not mentioned in the day 2 write-up. I don’t reckon that he’s probably advanced himself a lot, but probably hasn’t hurt himself.

Ok-- so I'm an idiot.

DeMarre’s team lost their second round game… but the line was accurate.

I am confident in stating that they did win the third place match… and a nice line for DeMarre again:

20 points and 16 boards, 8-14 from the field, 4-6 FT. 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal, but only 1 turn-over this time in 29 minutes.

Leo leaves Portsmouth without a victory— his team lost in the consolation consolation game— his line went thus:

10 points and 11 boards on 4-12 shooting from the field, 2-4 from the line and 4 assists and 3 turnovers in 37 minutes.
