Rain delay in OKC

preventing the start of the aTm/Tech game

by CPC on May 23, 2009 8:00 PM CDT reply actions

The rain continues to fall in Oklahoma City

What’s the procedure tomorrow if tonight’s game is rained out? Will the championship game get moved back until after the aTm/Tech game, or moved to Monday?

The small pond that had formed in short right field about 30 minutes ago has now disappeared. There’s still a lot of water to move.

Best you could hope for

Thomas has been most vulnerable in the first inning this year (see Fighting Illini, Illinois for the most recent example), so it’s good to get out of that one unscathed by leaving the 1-out double on the basepaths.

there is no restart tomorrow…game will be finished tonight (or into the AM), either way. So if they only complete 1 inning then that’s it…so we need aTm to hold the lead throughout the game in case the rain returns

guess it didn't load the bases, but

aTm earns a walk and the runner on 3rd goes home after a passed ball. Then the person that walked, takes 2nd when Tech didn’t call a timeout…

my impression from Coach Jamison was that Kyle would only go on Wednesday.

He did say that if they needed him for an inning or 2, that might be an option. But probably not the start.
