NCAA Track Championships - Day 3
Mizzou is coming off a big night (or early morning perhaps) as Lars Rise put up a huge personal effort to place 5th in the decathlon, securing four team points for the Mizzou Men's Track team. More points are on the line this afternoon. Here is the schedule for today, via this linked pdf
- 11:00 a.m. - Women's Hammer Finals (Krishna Lee)
- 1:00 p.m. - Men's Hammer Finals (Chris Rohr)
- 1:45 p.m. - Women's Heptahlon - Long Jump/Javelin/800m (Kaela Rorvig - 23rd currently)
- 3:45 p.m. - Men's Pole Vault (Brian Hancock)
You can also follow all the action from this website. This is the final day of the Mizzou athletic season, as all Tigers will complete competition today.

yeah...so...um...no updates from the site
Not sure if it is weather again (though it has been fine here all morning and day in STL), but the site is not reporting any events right now as being completed.

There was a delay
But they’re back up and going again. They’re about an hour behind schedule on the track, and field events are way behind.
Krishna Lee 5th in the hammer throw with 62.96m (206-7), a PR and All-American!!
THAT is some great news...how wonderful for her
But also for us as both teams will score team points on the weekend.

Thrust nunchuk upward!
I imagine we are just about any time from hearing about Rohr

Rohr ends up 4th.
69.03m which is well short of his PR of 71.92. Winner Marcel Lomnicky of Virginia Tech threw 71.78m for comparison. Not the ideal finish, but still get the All American status to end a great Mizzou career.
tough to see him finish outside the top 3
those three I figured would be pretty interchangeable, but I also thought they were a good bit ahead of the rest of the competition.
5 more points though…would love for Hancock to get a couple more and have us finish with four total AA’s
Thanks for the update
