From what I can tell, this became official Tuesday night. Kelly will be a business teacher in addition to his coaching duties. Pattonville is about 3 times larger than his old school, but has been dreadfully bad - a 26.9% winning percentage.

Good luck Kelly!

Kelly Thames

was one of the best freshman ever to play at Mizzou. He was never as good after his knee injury, which is a real shame because he probably would have been a 1st or 2nd rounder at the NBA draft. Good to see he’s still involved in basketball.

The late 90s could have been much different had he not gotten hurt

I missed that 93-94 by 2 years, but Thames, Julian Winfield, Sutherland, Grimm and a young Brian Grawer could have kept us as a really strong team, rather than a mid-level team.

Very true

we might have also gotten some higher level recruits with a powerful Thames, rather than what we had. The Illinois game (94?) that went 3OT was one of his finest as a Tiger…

That was the 3rd greatest game of any sport I've ever watched

wish I had been there.

  1. is Game 7 2004 NLCS (I was there)
  1. is the 1994 Troy Tournament championship game, Troy Missouri. Troy beat Cardinal Ritter (with Jahidi White, Chris Carawell and Loren Woods) 82-81 is 2OT to claim the championship.

Ok that should say

Number 1 and Number 2…. I guess it decided that POUND 1 and POUND 2 meant I was starting a list with only number 1s.
