Scouting Report Request: William Moore
Hey, sports fans!
This is Dave the Falconer from The Falcoholic, SBN's Atlanta Falcons blog. I was hoping some of you who saw William Moore play safety during his time at Missouri could help me out by letting me know a little about his strengths and weaknesses. I'm planning on putting together a profile on him for readers on my site, so anything you can provide would be a help.
Thanks in advance for the help!

I will leave this to the others to really dig into the meat and potatoes
Moore is such an interesting case. In 2008, especially the second half of the season, and with a solid secondary behind him, Moore was allowed to free-lance and was perhaps the most dangerous nickelback in college football. He could make plays on all levels. However, 2009 saw him fight nagging injuries, a slight change in scheme and his use, as well as a much poorer effort behind him and he was not nearly as effective.

Agreed...
2008 is a much better picture. I think the two things that stood out for me in ’08 was his closing speed and his ability to get better when more was placed on his shoulders (specifically when Pig Brown got hurt). And being a Bears homer, I would say that Willy Mo is much like a young Brian Urlacker.

assuming you meant
2007 and 2008, not 2008 and 2009 since we haven’t played the 2009 season yet

Numbers....
are the work of the Devil
but aggree with everything so for, Moore can close faster than a freight train and lateraly move just as quick, so ‘mobile’ people will still get hit hard. When he is full strength and has a 2ndary he can trust….he will blow some stuff up.

Thanks for the input, everyone!
I’m thrilled to have him on the team. Seems like a good guy and a good player.

my firend from georgia, i know the last years for your team has been very sicking the only ray of sunlight or hope is ryan from BC. but now you have willie mo. this kid is one hell of a ball player good in coverage, he hits like a ton of bricks. also he was the type of guy the team rallys around (you all need that now). this is the best pick you could have gotten i think. oh yeah did i say hes a ball hawk to if at free safety. thats about it so good luck and ill be watching some games to see what he can do on the next level
