Taking bacon to a new level...
I don't have a cool enough cell phone to provide a picture of this, so I'll have to do it with words until someone puts one up...Dixie Cream Donuts in CoMo (on Grindstone next to the Pizza Hut) it currently serving bacon donuts. Specifically, a longjohn topped with maple icing (to help it stick) and crumbled bacon. I tried a sample of one...it was so good I felt dirty. If fact, I had to skip actually buying one and get a bearclaw because I knew if I endulged in such a forbidden fancy, I would not be able to make it through the workday. I will, however, retrieve a picture of said donut and promtly devoure it, so as to provide you all with a complete and scientific analysis of its awesomeness....

nice...
…think I saw some restaurant on Food Network or something that did a maple-bacon donut…nice to see that local places took the hint and attempted the greatness themselves…

But it was crumbled, not strips. And oddly enough, the ladies working said some dude walked in with a bag o’bacon and had them make it special.

I was a frequent customer of Voodoo in PDX.
Delicious. And you could get married there as well.
