Found this in the 1891 Savitar. These are the box scores of MU's first two football games. The competition appeared to be intramural squads. MU won 42 - 6 and 90 - 0(!)

But hahaha, those engineers got DESTOYED. I can just imagine some old black-and-white silent film with comic old-timey music; it’s roll call in Engineering 101 and the dapper professor says “Good day, chaps! Might anyone be up for a nice game of sport this Saturday afternoon?” And then it just gets more and more awesome from there.
