each decides to bogey the par 5 1st hole, so while not a great start, they come through all square through 1

has been LIGHTS OUT in his two matches so far. He won yesterday by the fairly impressive score of 6 and 4, and followed that up with the even more ridiculous 8 and 6, meaning he has only competed on 26 of 36 holes so far, having not even played 15-18 on the course the past two matches. Impressive.

And while Logan finally pars a hole, it is not enough, as Long extends his early lead to 2 up through 3

Still 2 up however as they head to the par 4 7th, which starts 5 par 4’s in a row

Though not a true score (since holes are conceeded and balls are picked up), Long shot +1 while Logan shot +4

This is as close as Logan has been since the 2nd hole. The 13th is a par 5 (one of two remaining on the round, including the 18th)

14th is a par 4

15 is a LONG par 3 (280 yards), Long still up 1

14th seed Sang Yi has been very impressive, winning 7&5 yesterday and 6&5 today

Long remains at 1 up. The final 3 holes

Par 4 17th – 480 yards (Long parred and Logan doubled yesterday)
Par 5 18th – 584 yards (Both birdied yesterday, Logan to get his match to AS and extra holes)

No details at this point, but you have to like how both are grinding away here. They head to the 17th with Long having a shot to win the match if he can take the hole.

so the match is now all square. Yesterday, both won the 18th, Long to close out his match and Logan to prolong his.

They both par the 18th and I believe go back to the 1st

Logan parred and birdied it yesterday, while also bogeying today, so this one is a bit all over the place for these two.

So Long moves on to face Yi, which will probably tee off in the next 30-40 minutes or so. Congrats to Jace Long on making the Sweet 16

Long stumbles out of the gate, bogeying the first hole. Then Yi birdied the third and now sits 2 up through 4

The #1 seed (from Canada by the way) won his Sweet 16 match 6&5, meaning he has still yet to play the last four holes through 3 match plays and has only played 39 holes of a possible 54…almost skipping AN ENTIRE ROUND.

Long bogeyed the par 4 14th to give Yi back a 1 up lead with 4 holes to play. I imagine they really are done unless there is a weather stoppage, but we shall see.
