Thing that made me go "Hmmmm..." #1
Looking through the cfbstats.com database, I came across something that I think is interesting.
Take a look at these two quarterbacks and look at their records for their first starts:
QB A: 25-33 for 319 yards, 3TDs 0 Ints 75.8 completion percentage, rating of 186.96. Team won 37-9.
QB B: 23-32 for 320 yards, 5TDs 0 Ints 71.9 completion percentage, rating of 207.44. Team won 47-7
QB A is Blaine Gabbert's stat line from Saturday's game against the Fighting Illini.
QB B is Chase Daniel's stat line from his inaugural start against Murray State in 2006.
What does it mean? I have no idea. I just thought it was fun to look up. I'm not a statistical analysis person; anyone who reads me other places knows that.
But if the trend continues as it did in 2006, then good things are on the horizon for this squad.

good stuff....the Hmmmm #1 for me...
Ron “I say DeMarco” Franklin and Ed " I played at Washington" Cunningham, kept saying that the Mizzou Defensive front wasn’t getting to Juice at all, but then he wasn’t scrambling, or throwing well either……hmmmmmm…….specificaly when they had just commented that the D-ends of Mizzou had done nothing and then Aldon Smith pushed off his block by a yard and caught Juice on the side line for a loss of three on a keeper….hmmmmmm….
NCAA Football; better than everything. That is an understatement.

It should mentioned...
… that Murray State is an FCS team that went a whopping 1-11 in 2006. As bad as Illinois could potentially be this year, I think it’s safe to say Gabbert’s numbers were against slightly better competition.

yep. I remember Chases debut.
what a fun time not that the game was good or markedly important other than being Chases debut, it was just a great september day for tailgating and it started a looooooooooong chain off events that ended with 30 wins
